Skirt for A

PB's best friend had a birthday last week.  She is such a sweet girl and PB loves to play with her.  A loves animals and likes to carry as many little people animals as possible when she is playing. I saw this fabric in the Joann ad a few weeks ago and knew it had to be made into a skirt for her.  I used Dana's Simple Skirt Tutorial to make it.

I never get to look at girl clothes so I had fun finding leggings and a top to pair with this skirt.  I was really hoping to find some green leggings and a shirt because A's fav color is green, but I guess it wasn't meant to be.  That's ok because i just love the polka dot leggings with the button detail.

I don't have any fancy tags to sew into clothes... yet.  So I just sewed some pink ribbon in so they would know what the back was.  Also, i got to use my serger :) I am getting very comfortable threading it and serging.  I just love that it looks more professional.

I will admit, I had fun sewing some girl clothes.  And Dana's tutorial couldn't be easier! If you have a girl to sew for, you need to try it!
