Happy New Year!

Hubby took this pic of me when we were on our night away in AZ.  I took a cool one of him first and then taught him how to do it.  You use a long shutter and a flash. I think this was a 2 second exposure.  Once the flash goes off you zoom in with the lens before the shutter closes.  You have to be quick and hold the camera steady but it is a pretty fun effect with the lights on the trees.

I have been thinking a lot about resolutions this past month and there are things I want to change for next year.  Last year's resolutions went OK.  I completed 2 of the 3.

My New Year Resolutions for 2012:

1.  Reorganize the house from top to bottom by Peanut Butter's birthday (mid-March).  This was #1 on my list last year and desperately needs to be done again.  My kitchen and craft area are out of control.  I will say that many of the spaces I reorganized last year still look pretty good, but any space I used regularly is a crazy mess!!
2.  Clean 30 minutes every weekday.  I am going to set the timer on my phone for 30 minutes and go through the house and put things away.  Dishes from the sink, clutter, craft stuff, or clothes will get put away and if I have time left on the clock it's scrubbing time! I think if it is only 30 minutes it won't be so bad.  I am going to hope that doing this during the week will result in not having to clean on the weekend.
3.  Make a workout schedule for the week and keep it. I trained for my first 5K in October and really haven't had anything motivating me lately.  That plus my holiday crafting schedule and Hubby's travel schedule has pushed my working out to the back burner.  I just got some Zumba DVD's from my mom for Christmas so now if hubby is traveling, there is no excuse not to work out.  I would really like to be working out 5-6 times a week.

I also want to do lots of hugging :)

Happy New Year.  Thank you so much for reading.

Sounds like a good list! Especially the cleaning one. I should add that to my list. I think I can handle 30 minutes a day. :-)
