Revamped Bed Skirt Tutorial

Last week I took the bed skirt off the bed to throw it in the wash.  I decided that I hate it so much that I was going to rip it apart.  I don't have a before pic, it was just an ugly ruffle mess.  I had so much fun ripping it apart!!! It was on my bed since 2002, the time had come.
I definitely wanted to get a new one, a white one, but I am also really cheap.  Since I have grey bedding there was no rush.  It's not like this is my duvet cover... not yet anyways :)
It took an hour and half to rip apart, but pinning it and sewing back together only took an hour.  I did all the ripping and pinning while watching TV.
Pay no attention to the wrinkles, especially if you are my mom.  I could hear her say "iron it!" But I really just wanted to get it back on the bed and go to sleep :)

Tutorial:
Since I have a king size bed, it was next to impossible to take pics of the whole thing, so I made these hopefully helpful drawings that I drew out on my dry erase board.
After the clean and maybe ironed ruffle and sheet are separated, find the center point.
Also find the center points of the 2 halves on both the ruffle and the sheet.
Mark them with a pin.

Put the right sides together and match all the pins up.
Start at the end and pin to the first pin.
Make a pleat at each pin and continue onto the next pin.

My pleats were not all the same size and it isn't noticeable at all.

With the right sides together, this is how you make the pleat.
Then pin all 4 layers together.

Sew straight stitch with a 1/2" seam allowance. I did a zig zag on the outside edge because I don't have a serger.   Next you just have to wrestle it back on the bed.  And maybe iron it, it depends if you can ignore my mom's voice in your head telling you to.

I hope that was clear.  If you have questions leave them below!!
