I finished my cowl for the Carefree Cowl Knit Along over at luvinthemommyhood.
Just in time too because we got snow this weekend! Snow in October is very unusual so I was very happy to have my cowl to keep me warm!
Thanks to my Hubby for taking these pics and putting up with me giving very specific (annoying) instructions.
I made the Gap-tastic cowl. I loved knitting this. In fact I just started another one. The length of this one is a little short on me and guess what... I am not in love with the purple on me. So the one I just started is 30 stitches longer and will be a little thinner and very dark grey. I think that is going to work better for me. I had a hard time wrangling all my hair when wrapping the cowl, especially while it was snowing.
My local library has a knitting group that meets once a month and I started going last year. I didn't go all summer, it's too hot to knit, so I just started up again this week. I love going because I am the youngest by at least 30 years :) And these women have been doing it so long, I just love seeing what they make. This week there were 3 sweaters, 2 blankets, 2 pair of socks and mittens going in the circle. Only one of the ladies knew what a cowl was. But they all agreed that a Knit Along online was really cool :) Thanks Shannon!!

I mostly stick to sewing, but I might just try this one. Very nice!
Great posting...great photo! It could be on the cover of LLBean!
What a gorgeous cowl! I just discovered your blog and I am your newest follower. xo
How adorable!! You did that? You totally rock!!! Perfect timing but that much snow makes me sad :( I am missing summer and flip flops....don't mind me.
Hihi, I ust commented on your flickr photo saying how much I like the color. No matter what you may think, I stand by my statement! Looks great. I would be absolutely devastated if we got snow in October...
