chef hats, an apron and a tote

This past weekend 2 more of Peanut Butter's friend's turned 2.  The chef's hat and apron are my new favorite thing to make for 2 year olds.  It seems that all of PB's friend either got a kitchen for Christmas or they are getting one for their birthday so this is the perfect, personal, thoughtful gift.

I made an animal theme for his friend who loves animals.  His friend really likes barn animals, but this was the cutest animal one I could find.  I was going to have PB model them, but we all remember what happened last time I made him model :)

His other friend already had an apron so I made her a Disney princess chef hat and I sewed up a library tote that I freezer paper stenciled her initials.  I stenciled a flower pattern on the back:
I loosely followed this pattern to make the tote.
The chef's hat and apron were made with this pattern.
I first used freezer paper in college in my silk screen class, it was magical.  If you are looking for a superb tutorial, here is one on I Am Momma Hear Me Roar

The Clutter Shark (mom) is finally here!!! And I am feverishly working on PB's 2nd birthday party.  Lots of sewing, painting, recipe planning and paper cutting.  I can't wait to share what I have up my sleeves!!!
